Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I know I am a few days late on the Merry Christmas, but we have been so busy!  As I sit here in front of the warm fire in France (yes I am in FRANCE!!!), I still can't get over how much has changed this past year.  That in itself has been the best present.  But getting to spend it with my family in this beautiful old farmhouse is a country I have never been too.... has been the best present yet!  I think this might top the cellphone and Mustang GT for Christmas when I was 16.  OK.... the Mustang wasn't exactly a Christmas present but it did arrive days before.

The last week has been a whirlwind!  We flew into to Paris on the 23rd.  It took a lot longer to get from our gate to the house than I anticipated.  So it was dark and very late when we finally got here.  My inlaws came with us.  My sister in law was supposed to arrive the next day.  But her flight was cancelled and she didn't arrive til Christmas morning.  I am pretty lucky to have an awesome sister in law.  And I look forward to spending time with her. But because of her schedule and our move, its been a year.  Boo!  So I was super excited to pick her up from the train station!

Thankfully, the kids slept in and we delayed presents until she got here.  We had a wonderful day of drinking French wine and snacking on fresh bread, all kinds of french cheese and PORK salami!  Oh how I have missed you pork!

The next day we ventured into Caen because my father in law wanted to visit Abbaye aux Hommes.  I am glad we did.  Such a beautiful town and the architecture was gorgeous!!  I even thing the kids enjoyed it.

More to come!  But I truly wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Lots of Love!!!
